Traditionally, in the first release of the year, the developers of Offensive Security presented new visual elements, including wallpapers and updates to the boot menu and login screen. These updates affect both regular Kali and Kali Purple.
Kali Linux developers have released the first version of this year, 2024.1, which has four new tools, an updated theme, and other useful changes.
- blue-hydra - Bluetooth device detection service;
- opentaxii - TAXII server implementation from EclecticIQ;
- readpe - command line tools for working with Windows PE files;
- snort is a flexible network intrusion detection system.
